SHG’s Dennis Eder invited to share his expertise and thought leadership to three national programs

Dennis Eder, Managing Director of Strategic Health Group, has been invited to share his expertise and thought leadership to three national programs exploring improving care for our nation’s elderly.  These programs include serving as senior leader for the 2015 Practice Change Leaders program, serving as faculty to the UCLA Leadership & Management in Geriatric conference, and serving as a member of a prestigious team of faculty for an interactive half-day workshop on “Creating Geriatrics Value in Health Systems and Communities” at the annual Scientific Meeting of the American Geriatric Society.

Conference News:

Hank Osowski, Managing Director of Strategic Health Group recently served as principal faculty for a workshop on Advancing Care Integration for Dual Eligibles at the Medicaid Innovations 2015 conference on February 5, 2014, in Orlando, Florida. A copy of the workshop presentation may be obtained by contacting Osowski at SHG.

Osowski will also be a member of a distinguished panel at the upcoming LTC-100 Leadership and Strategy conference to be held May 10-13  at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.  The panel, which also includes industry leaders Tom Scully of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe and Dan Mendelson, President and Founder of Avalere Health, will address the future of post acute care

Strategic Health Group managing director, Dennis Eder, was recently invited to join Eric Coleman, M.D., MPH and other industry leaders as a Senior Leader of the Practice Change Leaders for Aging and Health a program designed to develop, support and extend the organizational influence of leaders at the forefront of promising innovations in care for older adults.  Dr. Coleman, executive director of the program, was recently named a 2012 MacArthur Fellow.

In recognition of SHG’s expertise in assisting payers to understand and plan for the strategic challenges of the Affordable Care Act, Hank Osowski, SHG Managing Director, was invited to participate on two key panels at the recent Medicaid Innovations Forum in Orlando. The first panel of national experts addressed the post-election implications on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act on coordinated care programs for Dual Eligible beneficiaries, Medicaid expansion, plan revenue and potential strategies for success. Osowski also was a key presenter on the Health Insurance Exchanges: Shifting Your Thinking from Medicaid to Commercial Operations panel which explore the infrastructure and business challenges that will impact plan participation.
